Welcome to the Portable PD blog and podcast. Portable PD is a place where we can share what we have learned about using technology in the classroom. Our aim is to create an online community for teachers who are looking for support, give tips, and share their successes in finding ways to incorporate podcasting into their schools and classrooms.  Thanks to a TLLP grant from Ontario’s Ministry of Education, we are able to bring together 16 teachers and explore ways that they can incorporate blogging and podcasting into their teaching practice.

Portable PD is maintained by Nathan Toft and Jane Smith, both junior grade teachers at A. Lorne Cassidy Elementary School, part of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board. Our school is located in Stittsville, a part of Ottawa, Canada.

We even made the cover of ETFO’s Voice Magazine.
